VET teachers and students from Maitland-Newcastle Catholic Schools have taken out the first and runner up prizes in the Youth Express VET Awards held in Maitland.
The awards recognise individuals who demonstrate excellence in teaching or learning and a passion for vocational education as a springboard to further training and employment.
In each category, there were a large number of nominees representing schools from all education sectors. We had three finalists in the student category:
- Bethany Sanson 鈥� All Saints鈥� College Maitland, VET Business Services, Retail, Hospitality
- Amelia Sternbeck – St Catherine鈥檚 Catholic College Singleton, VET Primary Industries
- Neave Fogarty 鈥� St Joseph鈥檚 College Lochinvar, VET Entertainment Industry
